GMSI Award 2016 – Open for submission for GMSI 2017!

David Bates

This lecture was given at the Grant for Multiple Sclerosis Innovation Awards Event on September 15, 2016 in London. The GMSI award is sponsored by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.

Professor Bates winds up this session by thanking the four speakers who are the 2016 GMSI award recipients, and encourages them to return to ECTRIMS to provide yearly updates at the Merck booth. GMSI 2017 applications are open for submission on the website until February 6, 2017. The first stage of the application process is simple—a one-page description of the research plan. From there, a decision on which applications to progress is made (the committee judges these without knowing the names of the applicants), and the successful applicants are invited to submit a full application. Prof Bates thanked Merck for their ongoing support of MS research through programs such as GMSI and wished the award winners the best of luck with their research projects.
