9th Congress of the Pan-Asian Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (PACTRIMS)
PACTRIMS is an Asia-Pacific-centered group, which was established in 2007. It is modelled after the European and American Committees on Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS, ACTRIMS). Its aim is to provide neurologists and other healthcare professionals as well as scientists interested in the field of MS with a regional network for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and experience.
This year’s congress is organised by the PACTRIMS Organising Committee and the Thai Multiple Sclerosis Association. Among other topics, the congress will tackle aspects of the optic nerve in demyelinating disease and the impact of demyelinating disease in women and pregnancy. It will also look into the roles of B cells in the pathogenesis of demyelinating disease and its potential as a target of treatment. Furthermore, advances in neuroimaging and applications in MS and NMOSD will be discussed.
